Double Flowering Clematis

Double-flowered Clematis shrubs can produce some extraordinary and intriguing large blossoms

The double flowering quality is often distinguished by the scientific name Flore Pleno (fl.pl.) taken from the meaning with full flower. There are only two species of Clematis that don’t climb, herbaceous perennials and sub-shrubs.

Many non-climbing Clematis plants bloom in summer, and some, even bloom into autumn, they act more like perennials or even like thin shrubs.
