Ficus

Ficus plants are one of the most popular plants suitable for growing as an ornamental houseplant. We have many types and sizes available that work well in large spaces, such as the ficus lyrata and of course the indoor ficus trees. Growing Ficus indoors is easy, make sure the soil is always slightly moist and place the plant in a spot with a lot of indirect light. They don't like wet roots, so always check the top of the soil first.

What is commonly referred to as a ficus is a weeping fig

It’s a member of the Ficus genus of plants, which also includes rubbers trees and fig fruit trees. When it comes to ficus houseplants, most people refer to a weeping fig (Ficus benjamina) as a ficus.

Ficus plants are used primarily as a houseplant or in commercial premises as office plants but ficus plants can be a little fussy. Most ficus plants enjoy a bright indirect position.

A bright, direct light may result in scorching of the leaves and leaf loss. Ficus trees also cannot tolerate low temperatures or drafts. Cold drafts from windows or doors will harm them and kill them in the end.

The ficus, together with the dracena, is a very popular houseplant. The orchid is also a favorite plant for many.
